I want to take a moment to highlight some blogs that I read.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/aboutfoursquare.com\/\"><strong>About Foursquare<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/a><a href=\"http:\/\/aboutfoursquare.com\/feed\/\">http:\/\/aboutfoursquare.com\/feed\/<\/a><br \/>\nA new addition to my feed list. It&#8217;s good for keeping up to date with new badges. If you don&#8217;t use <a href=\"http:\/\/foursquare.com\/\">Foursquare<\/a>, this site doesn&#8217;t apply to you. To be honest, I&#8217;m getting Foursquare fatigue since they&#8217;ve been releasing so many\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/aboutfoursquare.com\/holiday-hero\/\">pointless<\/a> badges recently.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/daringfireball.net\/\"><strong>Daring Fireball<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/daringfireball.net\/index.xml\">http:\/\/daringfireball.net\/index.xml<\/a><br \/>\nJohn Gruber writes as if his life savings depends on the positive performance of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/finance?q=aapl\">AAPL<\/a>. As easy as it is to despise Gruber, he posts <a href=\"http:\/\/daringfireball.net\/linked\/2010\/11\/18\/cowboys-and-aliens\">great<\/a> links when he&#8217;s not obviously <a href=\"http:\/\/daringfireball.net\/2010\/11\/where_are_the_android_killer_apps\">trolling Google<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/gothamist.com\/\"><strong>Gothamist<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/gothamist.com\/index.xml\">http:\/\/gothamist.com\/index.xml<\/a><br \/>\nEveryday NY happenings. They have a sense of <a href=\"http:\/\/gothamist.com\/2010\/12\/09\/if_you_dont_hire_a_bartender_for_yo.php\">humor <\/a>that I appreciate. I also read sister site,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/shanghaiist.com\/\">Shanghaiist,<\/a> for my source of China news.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.seriouseats.com\/\"><strong>Serious Eats<\/strong><\/a><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/seriouseatsfeaturesvideos\">http:\/\/feeds.feedburner.com\/seriouseatsfeaturesvideos<\/a><br \/>\nWhile based in NYC, they have good <a href=\"http:\/\/aht.seriouseats.com\/archives\/2010\/12\/gruner-best-burger-review-portland-or.html\">national<\/a> food coverage. SE includes a lot of recipes, which are N\/A to me. For more NYC food coverage, I&#8217;ve recently started reading <a href=\"http:\/\/midtownlunch.com\/\">Midtown Lunch<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/grubstreet.com\/\">GrubStreet<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/blog.vincentlaforet.com\/\">Vincent Laforet<\/a><\/strong><br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/blog.vincentlaforet.com\/feed\">http:\/\/blog.vincentlaforet.com\/feed<\/a><br \/>\nPulitzer winning photographer who has recently transitioned to <a href=\"http:\/\/blog.vincentlaforet.com\/2010\/12\/10\/hddslr-custom-configurations\/\">HD DSLRs<\/a>.\u00a0To say he takes photos well is an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laforetvisuals.com\/#s=0&amp;mi=2&amp;pt=1&amp;pi=10000&amp;p=0&amp;a=0&amp;at=0\">understatement<\/a>. While I&#8217;m not so big on creating video, Laforet keeps himself on the cutting edge by moving to video.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Honorable Mention<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Not exactly a blog, but <a href=\"http:\/\/news.ycombinator.com\/\">Hacker News<\/a> is great for startup coverage. It&#8217;s not <a href=\"http:\/\/ycombinator.com\/newsguidelines.html\">Reddit<\/a>, and it&#8217;s more helpful than <a href=\"http:\/\/techcrunch.com\/\">TC<\/a>. I&#8217;m not a fan of their <a href=\"http:\/\/news.ycombinator.com\/rss\">RSS feed<\/a> since I like reading the articles and <em>then <\/em>deciding if I want to read the comments.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I subscribe to several blogs on Google Reader.
